Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations and providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical radiography and a minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI clinical imaging. You will be responsible for operating Siemens equipment, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and maintaining patient records. Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, following department protocols and procedures.
  • Locate and record internal body elements, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts, monitoring for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy, reviewing with peers and physicians as needed.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers, preparing diagnostic information for interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace, recognizing equipment malfunctions and adjusting or referring for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures, ensuring compliance with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures, participating in Siemens training programs to maintain technical competency.
  • Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists, maintaining current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed.
  • Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshooting problems, and notifying team members, following quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience required.
  • Siemens equipment experience required.
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment and initiative.
