Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Educator: Collaborate with the lead educator to design and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that reflect the daycare's educational values.
- Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times. Actively supervise and interact with children during play, meals, and various activities.
- Classroom Support: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom setting by assisting with behavior management and encouraging cooperation among children.
- Individual Attention: Offer personalized support to children who may need extra help or have special requirements, ensuring their successful integration into the daycare.
- Parent Communication: Keep open lines of communication with parents, providing updates on their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns.
- Health and Safety Standards: Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all children.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing educational materials, supplies, and resources for daily activities.
- Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in early childhood education is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a daycare or educational setting with young children.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $18- $20 /hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
