Job Summary

The Housing Equity and Inclusion Case Manager plays a critical role in assisting Veterans who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness to end their housing crisis. This position requires a strong understanding of the complexities of homelessness and a commitment to providing culturally inclusive, trauma-informed services to all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build partnerships with community partners, service providers, and government agencies to address the root causes of homelessness and promote equitable housing opportunities.
  2. Provide case management services to Veteran families, including assessment, goal setting, and linkage to community resources.
  3. Advocate for Veterans and their families, navigating the complexities of the housing system and removing barriers to housing stability.
  4. Develop and implement individualized housing plans, including housing search and placement services.
  5. Collaborate with other service providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of homeless Veterans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field and less than five years of experience in the field.
  • Personal automobile, valid driver's license, liability insurance, and willingness to travel between counties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
