The Patient Access Representative is a critical member of our healthcare team, serving as the first point of contact for patients and families. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to make a personal connection with each individual.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize critical thinking skills to problem-solve a variety of situations, anticipating patients' needs and responding to them in a professional, positive, and patient-focused manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkers, whether in-person, over the phone, or via computer.
- Register and schedule patients, verify insurance, scan and retrieve documents, and validate patient information to ensure accurate records.
- Comply with complex regulatory guidelines, including Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP), HIPAA Privacy Standards, Patient Bill of Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Directives, Consent to Treat, EMTALA, and JCAHO Requirements.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, as this is a safety-sensitive position.
- High School Diploma or GED
- No experience required, but an Associate's Degree and
