JOB SUMMARY: The Refrigeration Quality Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining JTS production schedules by assisting in the assembly and evaluation of the quality of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all stages of the production process and the ability to assess product quality throughout. The Refrigeration Quality Technician will work diligently to guarantee a high-quality product for our clients, operate efficiently, document all processes and procedures, and uphold a safe working environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform product testing, including support for complaint investigations and stability verification.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of production operations.
  • Generate reports on product testing results and communicate them to relevant parties.
  • Determine project specifications, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials based on blueprints and instructions.
  • Engage in the internal audit program and complete corrective action reports.
  • Assist in the creation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support the document control program as necessary.
  • Provide root cause analysis based on field feedback.
  • Suggest design modifications and product enhancements based on field feedback.
  • Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and overhead cranes and utilize relevant tools and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory)
  • 2 years of experience in the commercial or industrial refrigeration sector (preferred)
  • Familiarity with refrigeration system flow and operation.
  • Refrigeration handling certification (preferred) or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Brazing experience (preferred)
  • Capability to work from 10' ladders.
  • HVAC & R field service experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of jobsite safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Professional demeanor - dependable, productive, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to adhere to procedures and accurately document outcomes.
  • Capacity to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring physical activity throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Able to lift products, equipment, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
