Aircraft Mechanic I Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic I to join our team at Amentum. As an Aircraft Mechanic I, you will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance functions are conducted in accordance with appropriate safety directives, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all on-site maintenance and flight support of C-26 Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) or similar aircraft.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and recorded in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years (3) experience with multi-engine, turbo-prop aircraft maintenance required.
  • Requires valid FAA A&P license.
  • Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain Secret United States Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience with Metroliner 23, C-26 A/B/C/D, UC-26C, SA227 Metro III, or similar variants.
  • Previous C-26 aircraft and fixed-wing, pressurized, twin-engine turboprops experience.
