Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with office visits, lab work, injections, and other medical procedures.
  • Obtain patient vital signs, height, and weight, and document information in the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including un-dressing and dressing, and assist with ambulation and transfers.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including CBC, INR, and urinalysis, and report critical values to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Assist with purchasing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure exam rooms and physician offices are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
