Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead our Luxury Residential project team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of project-specific details, coordinating clear and concise interior drawings, and collaborating with external teams to troubleshoot issues and answer questions about project designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and Manage Team Members: Lead a team of Interior Detailers and CAD technicians to develop project-specific interior architectural designs and interior design concepts for ceilings, millwork, tile layout, flooring patterns, etc.
  • Collaborate with External Teams: Work with builders, developers, and/or general contractors to troubleshoot issues and answer questions about project designs as they arise.
  • Establish Drawing and Detailing Standards: Collaborate with the President and Designers to establish drawing and detailing standards across the board and identify specific needs and scope for individual projects.
  • Produce and Vette Architectural Working Drawings: Responsible for producing and vetting architectural working drawings, including all details for architectural interior projects, such as millwork, tile, elevations, plans, sections, and RCPs.
  • Maintain Project Files and Schedules: Maintain and organize project files, schedules, and specifications.
  • Manage Project Timelines and Bandwidth: Work with Designers and Detailers to manage project timelines, department bandwidth, and meet specific deadlines for multiple projects at once.
  • Conduct Site Visits and Assist in Construction Supervision: Conduct site visits when necessary and assist in construction supervision with Designers.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education and Experience: Degree in Architecture or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years design architecture experience, with a preference for residential projects.
  • Technical and Practical Skills: Strong technical and practical AutoCAD skills, with an understanding of building construction, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCP, electrical, and millwork.
  • Knowledge of Shop Drawings and Architectural Drawings: Understand shop drawings from cabinet and millwork companies and architectural drawings.
  • Construction Techniques and Coordinating Details: Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimensions.
  • Traditional and Modern Detailing: Experience and genuine interest in traditional and modern detailing.
  • Financial Management: Follow budget standards and properly track and manage time.
  • Company Standards and Communication: Adhere to company standards and be open to learning and receiving feedback. Thrive in a fast-paced team environment where forward-thinking and communication is key.
