Power Systems Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will focus on enhancing the architecture, requirements, designs, and related documentation of fuel cell power plant systems. This role is entirely remote, offering flexibility while requiring occasional domestic travel (5-10%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve fuel cell power systems.
- Identify and design site-specific requirements, including electrical equipment and configurations.
- Engage in testing, validation, product launch, and ongoing support.
- Implement continuous improvement processes utilizing methodologies such as Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DoE), and Weibull analysis.
- Conduct statistical analysis and instrument layout detailing.
- Create and interpret logic diagrams and instrument loop diagrams.
- Collaborate with international supplier sites, working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Design Engineering role within the power systems industry. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of progressive experience is acceptable.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the following areas:
- Testing, validation, and product launch.
- Continuous improvement of cable, breaker, component sizing, power metering, VFD drives, and UPS systems.
- Power conversion and distribution equipment, including inverters and transformers.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $109,000 and $127,000 per year.
