Position: Floor Staff / Cast Member

Regal Cinemas is seeking enthusiastic part-time team members who have a passion for films and are dedicated to providing outstanding service, maintaining cleanliness, and enhancing the movie-going experience for our patrons in a lively and engaging atmosphere. Responsibilities:

As representatives of Regal, Floor Staff / Cast Members will engage with guests by selling tickets, managing concessions, and assisting as ushers. Availability to work weekends is essential, with preference given to those who can also work weekday openings and/or closings.

Overview: Floor Staff members are categorized based on the specific needs of the theater and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees, with the primary duty of ensuring exceptional service for our guests. Responsibilities may include working in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. Employees must represent Regal in alignment with our mission statement and policies, which include:

  • Consistent and regular attendance
  • Managing emergency situations when necessary
  • Performing general cleaning tasks
  • Adhering to the company dress code

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Box Office Responsibilities:

  • Operating the POS system, ensuring accuracy in cash handling, credit cards, gift cards, and redeemed tickets.
  • Promoting the Premium Viewing Experience options.
  • Encouraging participation in the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Selling tickets in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policies.
  • Responding to guest inquiries via phone in a manner consistent with our service philosophy.

Concession Responsibilities:

  • Managing the POS system and ensuring accurate cash handling and inventory control.
  • Promoting the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operating and maintaining all concession-related equipment.
  • Engaging in suggestive selling techniques.
  • Complying with all food safety regulations.
  • Understanding and adhering to laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  • Completing any required alcohol service training if applicable.
  • Reading and comprehending training materials on workplace conduct.

Usher Responsibilities:

  • Tearing tickets and directing guests to their respective auditoriums.
  • Inspecting bags and packages as necessary.
  • Assisting with crowd management and helping guests find their seats.
  • Enforcing the MPAA rating system.
  • Conducting in-theater inspections to ensure quality and safety.
  • Reporting any issues or unusual occurrences to management.
  • Performing concession sales within the auditorium as directed.
  • Cleaning auditoriums post-show and maintaining cleanliness in all areas.
  • Monitoring the functionality of vending equipment.
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Completion of the cast certification program and box office cashier training is required.

Language Skills:

Strong public speaking skills and the ability to listen and respond effectively.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform calculations accurately and efficiently.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to identify problems, gather relevant information, and evaluate options to reach conclusions.

Personal Skills:

Excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and management. Ability to set goals and prioritize tasks effectively.
