Job Summary:

As a Sales and Marketing Coordinator at Hyatt Regency Buffalo, you will play a vital role in assisting the Director of Sales and Sales Managers in achieving customer satisfaction by performing administrative duties related to guest and hotel communications. You will also be responsible for light selling duties to small groups and functions, as directed by the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide clerical and administrative support to the sales team, including maintaining sales files, lead logs, and lead statistics.
  • Sales Support: Assist in light selling duties to small groups and functions, including quoting prices, handling small groups of less than 10 rooms, and small meetings of less than 10 people.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with guests, clients, and internal teams, including answering phones, qualifying incoming inquiry calls, and ensuring all inquiries are dealt with accurately and timely.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain a high level of organization, including maintaining a paper flow of sales contracts, BEOs, and other documents, and ensuring timely and effective distribution to relevant departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate, prevent, identify, and solve problems as necessary, including handling guest requests and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Financial Acumen: Understand and work with financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions, and ensure accurate and timely processing of sales contracts and other financial documents.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the sales team, management, and other departments to achieve sales goals and objectives, and ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient with Microsoft operating systems, OnQ, and Sales Pro Enterprise; ability to type 55 wpm; excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
