Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room First Assistant Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our surgeons in operative procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients
  • Assist surgeons in operative procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or ARNP in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and the State of Florida Surgical Assistant Program, or Medical School Graduate, or Allied Health professional having completed 2250 hours surgical rotation
  • Current Certified First Assistant (CFA) having completed 350 cases
  • Two years of experience within the last four years
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Current Certification as First Assistant (CFA) required
