About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise as a surgical first assistant. You will work closely with our experienced surgeons and nurses to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients
- Assist surgeons in operative procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Maintain and review patients' records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or ARNP in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
- Graduate of an accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and the State of Florida Surgical Assistant Program, or Medical School Graduate, or Allied Health professional having completed 2250 hours surgical rotation
- Current Certified First Assistant (CFA) having completed 350 cases
- Two years of experience within the last four years
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Current Certification as First Assistant (CFA) required
