Position Summary

Are you skilled in designing and executing creative and strategic marketing initiatives? We are in search of a District Marketing Manager to oversee multiple accounts within the division, guiding unit directors, marketing coordinators, and/or marketing interns in the implementation of Chartwells brand standards, field marketing strategies, and supporting division and sector growth, retention, and innovation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs units in the implementation of marketing campaigns, voluntary meal plan initiatives, catering, and retail sales strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with Chartwells' residential, retail, and catering brand standards, including brand identity, visual merchandising, and guest experience frameworks.
  • Collaborates with the campus community to strengthen partnerships and enhance awareness of dining programs, including sustainability initiatives and nutritional education.
  • Oversees the execution of events and guest feedback initiatives.
  • Creates marketing materials and communication assets, such as brochures, newsletters, programming announcements, and promotional guides.
  • Facilitates new business development and retention strategies, including guest feedback, proposal creation, and presentations.
  • Contributes to the development and execution of sector marketing and innovation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Hotel Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of marketing management experience, preferably in contract foodservice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable influence without direct authority, maintaining high standards for new programs and ensuring accountability across the field.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing capabilities to develop and maintain brand materials and voice.
  • Basic understanding of the financial aspects of contract foodservice, including revenue, margins, costs, and risks.
  • This role requires extensive travel between accounts in the NY metro area during the day, with occasional overnight travel to various locations.
