Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at Baker Commodities, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Inspect and test equipment to identify potential problems and implement preventative measures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to maintain our high standards
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy-duty diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including hazardous materials handling and confined space entry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent; maintenance vocational education training preferred
Physical Demands

This role requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing, as well as exposure to chemicals and fumes. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
