Responsibilities
  • Account for coding and abstracting of patient encounters
  • Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement
  • Sequence codes according to government and insurance regulations
  • Ensure accurate filing and processing of medical records
  • Analyze medical records and identify documentation deficiencies
  • Provide subject matter expertise to coding staff
  • Review and verify documentation for diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results
Requirements and Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Medical Coder
  • 2+ years of work experience as a Medical Coder
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Experience with coding software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • AAPC CPC certification
