About the Role

Tessere is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the production of construction drawings and specifications for projects, as well as providing design and construction administration services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Meet with clients to understand their goals and develop solutions that meet their needs within community and regulatory parameters.
  • Design Development: Plan and coordinate the project budget, milestones, and schedule, and track project performance.
  • Design and Documentation: Initiate and create schematic designs and plans, and prepare drawings and specifications.
  • Construction Administration: Direct and coordinate with engineering disciplines and third-party vendors, reviewing construction documents for conflicts.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure code and accessibility compliance, utilizing building, life safety, health, and accessibility codes.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate addendums, ASIs, RFIs, WCPRs, and Change Orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
  • Construction Administration: Execute construction administration using owner-provided web-based workspace.
  • Financial Management: Analyze and negotiate pay applications and change orders, and report project completion for billing.
  • Team Leadership: Provide supervision and guidance to others assigned to facilitate project delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7 or more years of professional experience as a licensed architect.
  • Licensure: NCARB certification.
  • Client Management: Proven experience in client management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Project Schedule, and experience with Revit.
  • Multi-State Experience: Preferred experience working in multiple states.
