We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Engine Test Technician to join our team at PACCAR's Engine Test Laboratory in Mount Vernon, Washington.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough tests on heavy duty diesel engines using a dynamometer cell and test automation software.
- Prepare engines for testing, including replacing components and installing measurement instrumentation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair test engines and engine test cell equipment.
- Support maximum test cell utilization and downtime reduction.
- Maintain detailed electronic records and project documentation.
- Ensure the highest level of work area safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Stay up-to-date with new engine and testing technologies, recommending and implementing continuous improvements.
- Perform duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in the diesel, heavy duty truck or automotive industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electronic engine systems.
- Independent creativity based on technical theory to solve challenges.
- High attention to detail, organization, and thoroughness.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and strong computer skills.
- Competitive salary range: $57,600 - $86,400 annually.
