About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop Team Members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Store Layout and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising that drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor data to inform business decisions.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
  • Customer Service: Foster a positive environment that delights customers, responds promptly to customer needs, and directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skillset: High energy, enthusiastic, displays affinity for products, core values, and company philosophy. Growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership. Desire to coach and mentor others for growth. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in wet and dry conditions. Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery may be required.

Whole Foods Market offers a competitive salary range of $20.05 - $27.53 hourly, commensurate with experience.
