Job Title: Pipeline Operator

We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Operator to join our team at Kinder Morgan. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate pipeline equipment and pump stations to deliver refined petroleum products into tankage for temporary storage.
  • Monitor pipeline product quality hourly using appropriate equipment.
  • Accurately type and check meter tickets for products and prepare bill of ladings.
  • Provide timely and consistent communication/notification to management of equipment abnormalities or failures, operating inconsistencies, errors and/or product quality issues.
  • Consistently provide accurate, legible and timely input to stream sheets, O/S log and any other required log sheets.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic office and/or administrative experience including handling phones, completing paperwork and typing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Must pass and maintain all applicable Operator Qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pipeline hydraulics experience desired.
  • Prior experience requiring mechanical aptitude and skill is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of cathodic protection.
  • Knowledge of piping, valves and pressures.
