Job Summary

The Dirt Work Construction Supervisor will oversee construction projects and ensure timely completion within contracted bid award designations. The Supervisor will possess proven and verifiable experience in the planning, building, and completion of originating and existing drilling pad sites and road building construction projects.

Liaise with other department managers and supervisors to coordinate and plan construction activities.

Direct, manage, and mentor supervisors, heavy equipment operators, and general laborers.

Generate and submit work statements on all phases of construction projects.

Monitor and promote jobsite safety.

The Supervisor will report directly to the company President and CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of dirt work construction projects from planning to completion
  • Coordinate and supervise onsite and offsite construction activities
  • Plan and schedule employee and equipment assets to specific jobs to ensure all assets are efficiently utilized and deadlines are met
  • Professionally interact and coordinate work statements with other departments within the company
  • Ensure compliance to company and client safety guidelines and quality standards
  • Collaborate with company men, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Daily monitor and report project progress and address any issues that arise
  • Oversee quality control measures throughout the construction process
  • Effectively communicate and lead by example the company's core values, ethics, and ideals
  • Champion and protect the company's reputation and commitment to excellence in the oil and gas business sector and beyond
  • Promote and foster a working environment that encourages employee involvement, team building, and commitment to achieve and maintain excellence in all site management metrics

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma. Prefer Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Professional demeanor and efficacy
  • Verifiable 10 years minimum experience in a supervisory or management position within the industry
  • Demonstrable proficiency operating heavy equipment machinery with an emphasis on finish blade and finish dozer work completions for drilling pad and road building construction projects
  • Expertise with TopCon and Trimble GPS instrumentation
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and convey to supervisors, equipment operators, and lay persons, blueprints, site diagrams, and other civil engineering documents
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling and quality control procedures
  • Ability to lead a team effectively and maintain a positive work environment
  • Knowledge of pipeline construction practices is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
