Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hydrostatic Testing Specialist to join our team as a Technical Sales Support Expert. This role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in hydrostatic testing, attending client meetings alongside our sales team to provide technical expertise. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with hydrostatic testing and the ability to confidently explain and discuss the process with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the domain expert on hydrostatic testing in client meetings and site visits with senior sales representatives.
  • Provide in-depth explanations of hydrostatic testing procedures and applications to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support efforts in breaking into new markets focused on hydrostatic testing.
  • Assist in R&D, technical writing, and project support when not attending client meetings.
  • Support training modules and assist in explaining technical issues as they arise.
  • Work closely with sales personnel to provide guidance on hydrostatic testing and related projects.
  • Engage in lab work or hands-on testing if located near a company facility or lab.

Qualifications:

  • MUST have experience in hydrostatic testing is required, with a strong background in chemical engineering, water chemistry, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in hydrostatic or hydrotesting is highly preferred.
  • Ability to confidently communicate technical knowledge to clients and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working both remotely and traveling for client meetings and site visits.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with sales teams and provide support on technical aspects.
  • Experience working in research, development, or lab environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Located in the Texas/Houston area.
  • Minimum of BS degree in chemistry or related engineering, plus have a minimum of 10 years practical, industrial experience.
  • Have a foundation in chemistry.
  • Must have a knowledge of relevant hydrotesting specifications, such as ASMW B31.4, B31.8 and API RP1110.
  • Knowledge of typical hydrotesting chemicals for corrosion, scale, hardness, etc
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without now or in the future needing sponsorship.
  • Have the ability to work in a team orientated environment as well as independently.
  • Be able to complete tasks within a time frame and budget.
  • Possess effective oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite).
  • Knowledge of typical water disposal regulations is beneficial.
