About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Environmental Engineer to join our Earth & Environment remediation team in Costa Mesa, CA. As a key member of our team, you will provide subject matter technical support and leadership for a broad range of environmental engineering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and provide oversight for data collection efforts, including collecting, identifying, and compiling environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, sludge, and other matrices.
  • Perform professional environmental engineering work and conduct site investigations, hazardous or solid waste facilities, water supply facilities, industrial and agricultural facilities, pollution sources, and proposed and existing site conditions.
  • Lead environmental site assessments (Phase I and II) and assist with engineering review of permit applications, engineering design plans, and specifications.
  • Meet with various public or private entities or individuals to discuss environmental problems and programs.
  • Develop action plans for larger-scale pollution, corrosion, hazardous waste, and environmental control programs.
  • Lead larger-scale engineering projects, ensuring contributors know what they are required to do and by when, and prepare and oversee relevant project budgets.
  • Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development and remain current in latest environmental engineering techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering, or closely related Engineering discipline, from an ABET-accredited University.
  • 10 years of relevant post-education experience in civil or environmental engineering, with a Professional Civil Engineer license in California.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) certification.
  • Highly proficient with engineering principles, practices, and methods and their application to environmental remediation and project work-related issues.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, and compliance practices.
