Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Onsite Qualifications:

Role Overview:

The Lethality Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation of hardware solutions for advanced lethality systems. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and hands-on experience in hardware design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Bring a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Utilize Engineering Development and Testing Tools effectively.
  • Formulate technical solutions to intricate engineering challenges.
  • Engage with senior external stakeholders on technical issues.
  • Direct efforts towards achieving significant program objectives.
  • Travel to supplier and government facilities as required.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with IPC and MIL standards.
  • Expertise in Digital and Analog circuit design.
  • Understanding of gyroscopic systems, encoders, and imaging technologies.
  • Capability to develop component and subsystem specifications.
  • Experience with model-based motion control methodologies.
  • Knowledge of PWM and PID control techniques.
  • Proficient in using test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
  • Skills in power analysis, thermal management, timing, biasing, and LED control.
  • Experience in schematic design, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with engineering design and analysis software.
  • Experience in servo control systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink, MATHCAD, and other design tools.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor-based products and relevant networking standards.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, including configuration and programming.
  • Understanding of industry interface standards and form factors.
  • Familiarity with serial communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of graphics and video interface standards.
  • Awareness of EMI/EMC design practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C#.

Eligibility Requirement:

This position mandates that candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
