About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Launch and Change Coordinator to join our team at BMW Group. As a Co-op, you will play a critical role in supporting the launch and change coordinators with activities to verify the bill of material and demand logic changes for vehicle production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Launch and Change Coordinators with engineering changes, including creating, managing, and validating component overviews for specific parts of the car.
  • Contribute to Test Car BOM (Bill of Material) validation, where the new design changes are verified.
  • Support the coordination of Line Trials, where new parts are physically tested in the production environment.
  • Investigate design topics through data analysis.
  • Report generation and maintenance.
  • Major projects in this role focus on efficiency improvements and data accuracy, including implementing solutions to improve efficiency in the processes, complete various process mapping exercises, and create content overview for different vehicle modules.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a BS or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, MIS (Management Information Systems), Computer Science, or other relevant degrees.
  • MS Excel and Office Suite knowledge.
  • Strong computer aptitude (ability to learn BMW Group systems, SAP, SQL, etc.).
  • Project Management.
  • Planning and Organizational skills; able to manage many projects and responsibilities in a structured manner.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • VBA (or Python) and JAVA skills preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience of manufacturing processes and workflows preferred.
  • German language is a plus.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
