PACU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PACU Nurse to join our team at PIH Health. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
Responsibilities- Implement all physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family care in preparation for discharge
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current NJ Nursing License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or ICU
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Critical Care or PACU experience
- Spanish language proficiency
This is an outpatient surgery position, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and safely in the perioperative area.
