AP Specialist Job Description

At Creative Financial Staffing, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our team. As an AP Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Review and Processing: Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they meet procurement policy requirements.
  • Expense Report Management: Review employee expense reports for proper coding and documentation, adhering to T&E policy.
  • Vendor Management: Set up and maintain new vendors, ensuring proper documentation is obtained before payment is made.
  • Payment Processing: Process company payments via check or ACH, reconciling the AP sub-ledger monthly.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare 1099 filings and reconcile dealer participation charge backs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of related Accounts Payable experience in a comparable financial institution.
