Overview
This role provides essential administrative, sales, and clerical support to Mortgage Loan Officers and Mortgage Sales Managers, addressing complex issues as they arise.
This is a full-time, hybrid position offering the flexibility to work remotely up to three days per week after completing initial training.
The primary office location is in Chevy Chase, MD.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain mortgage loan documentation.
- Assist clients and potential borrowers throughout the loan process to strengthen business relationships. Facilitate communication among real estate agents, title companies, and clients regarding settlements, commitment letters, and required documents for loan approval.
- Collect necessary documentation to support the Mortgage Loan Officer or Mortgage Sales Manager in the underwriting and credit assessment of borrowers.
- Support the Mortgage Loan Officer or Mortgage Sales Manager in preparing and submitting loan applications.
- Manage and finalize referrals in the designated financial corporation system.
- Input data and maintain marketing initiatives and tools relevant to loan officers.
- Assist in organizing the Loan Officer's schedule for client meetings, sales calls, and other relevant engagements.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to fulfill Loan Officer promotional needs for materials and events.
- Help with data entry into the loan origination system.
- Ensure effective communication and follow-up between Loan Officers, real estate agents, clients, and processing teams, acting as a liaison to maintain clarity and consistency.
- Engage directly with clients to gather information and documentation necessary for completing mortgage applications and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with clients in structuring residential mortgage loans, presenting various loan options and their respective benefits.
- Review underwriting criteria, structure loans accordingly, and submit to the automated underwriting system. Adjust loans to comply with guidelines and secure approvals.
- Schedule, coordinate, and participate in settlement meetings.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
A minimum of two years in mortgage banking is required.
At least one year of administrative experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, is required.
Other Duties as Assigned by Manager
This position may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management. All employees are expected to understand and comply with all company policies, regulations, and compliance training requirements, ensuring awareness of compliance risks and reporting them appropriately.
Pay Transparency
This position is eligible for a commission plan in addition to base compensation.
