Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Clerk to join our team at Octagon Consulting LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring payments from bankruptcy cases, coordinating with paralegals, and preparing memos of instruction for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor payments from bankruptcy cases and coordinate status with paralegals.
  • Research payment applications and record payments on an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Prepare memos of instruction for clients on how to post funds.
  • Issue default letters to debtors who have failed to make payments.
  • File 'Notices of Plan Default' with the courts for cases that have failed to cure.
  • Assist with research for Chapter 7, 13, and 11 cases.
  • Communicate with researchers to prepare Notices of Appearances and Proof of Claims.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with numbers.
  • Effective communication and professionalism.
