Senior Electrical Technician at Archrock

Position Overview: The Senior Electrical Technician is accountable for the installation of pneumatic tubing, electrical, and electronic systems on production equipment.

  • Ensure a safe and orderly work environment
  • Conduct significant electrical repairs and installations autonomously or collaboratively
  • Deliver on-the-job training to mechanical staff
  • Guide and mentor new team members
  • Diagnose PLC panels in collaboration with factory representatives
  • Construct instrument racks and support brackets
  • Conduct tubing tests and fulfill necessary certifications
  • Install various wire types, cables, conduits, and tubing
  • Evaluate control panels for proper operation
  • Execute final inspections and certification of units

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to efficiently perform essential tasks
  • Interpret blueprints and troubleshoot during testing phases
  • Read and understand NEC codes and blueprints
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams and liaise with suppliers
  • In-depth knowledge of panel functions and compressor systems
  • Familiarity with Archrock equipment and end devices
  • Solid understanding of various tubing types

Educational and Certification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training is preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Some background in electronics is beneficial

Leadership Responsibilities: Expected to provide mentorship, training, and occasionally oversee a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Good manual dexterity and capability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment and meet medical standards
