About the Opportunity

Join our dynamic team as an IT Support Specialist at the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) and contribute to improving the competitiveness and strength of the U.S. industrial base.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves working closely with NCMS staff to provide technical support, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues related to IT hardware and software. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory, receiving and storing hardware and software, and logging and tracking these items.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Configure Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Install and troubleshoot workstations and peripherals.
  • Maintain wired and wireless network devices.
  • Comply with all software license agreements.
Essential Requirements:

To succeed in this position, you should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a minimum 1 year of experience in hardware and software diagnostics. A+, Cisco, or Microsoft certification is highly desirable.

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Have or be eligible to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless legally exempt.
