About the Role:
As the Safety Process Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our Integrated Supply Chain Safety Team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and enhance a comprehensive safety, industrial hygiene, and fire protection framework within our operations.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will provide strategic direction and execute initiatives that ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. This will involve developing programs, managing risks, prioritizing safety evaluations, and conducting compliance audits. Your expertise will be crucial in formulating preventive strategies to mitigate occupational health risks, property damage, and industrial hygiene concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Collaborate with corporate health and safety teams to roll out critical safety initiatives.
- Maintain procurement procedures to guarantee the use of safe tools and equipment.
- Support health and safety management programs and initiatives.
- Educate staff on safety culture and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing safety and health performance.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
- Proven ability to train employees in safe work practices.
- Excellent hazard recognition and risk assessment skills.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Hazardous Materials (HazMat) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building positive business relationships.
