Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Real Estate Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Cardoza Properties, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in commercial real estate and contract law with excellent organizational and communication skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Property Managers with the preparation and dispatch of Notices to Tenants who are in default of their lease obligations.
  • Support Property Managers with prompt collection documentation of all revenues, following lease obligations of Tenants and Client's policies on accounts receivables.
  • Prepare, file and attend Small Claims hearings on behalf of Clients.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on a variety of legal matters, including providing relevant information, documentation, forms, research and communications on behalf of Clients.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of commercial real estate contracts, including letters of intent, leases, assignment of leases and modification of lease terms and conditions.
  • Show commercial properties to potential tenants.
  • Understand, interpret, and explain contractual terms, conditions, rights, and obligations to staff.
  • Conduct complex research regarding various regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate calendars and draft correspondence on behalf of C.E.O.
  • Produce consistent, high-quality work.
  • Take direction and respond cooperatively to supervision.
  • Follow all Company policies stated in the Cardoza Properties, Inc. handbook.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience drafting, researching, and handling confidential documents.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize requests, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, including the ability to write, edit and proofread with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
  • Manage one's own time, multi-task and change priorities quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Completes projects with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Works effectively under pressure.
