Medical Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Sea Base Medicine in Grapevine, Texas. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Room patients, take vitals, and collect patient histories
  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of providers
  • Update and file patients' medical records
  • Relay instructions to patients/families
  • Administer injections and vaccinations
  • Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
  • Restock exam/procedure rooms
  • Prescription refills
  • Provide backup for front desk reception as needed (answering phones, scheduling, insurance verification, calculating co-pays, check in/out, referral coordination)
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • A Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant (front and back office for internal or family medicine) highly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Reception experience is highly preferred

Schedule:

Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. No weekends or after hours.
