About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to join our team at NewCareers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to improve maintenance downtime and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with operations and capital engineers to develop capital projects to improve equipment efficiency
  • Measure and monitor fleet and technician performance metrics and make adjustments as needed
  • Develop long-term strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs
  • Prepare and review specifications for the procurement of lift machines and other equipment
  • Inspect maintenance facilities and equipment to ensure proper and safe conditions
  • Coordinate the transfer or disposal of surplus vehicles
  • Obtain quotes for work to be performed by outside contractors
  • Maintain accurate records of department equipment, tools, supplies, warranties, and other materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
  • 1-3 years direct fleet management, mechanics, or heavy truck/construction industry experience required
  • Fleet, courier, logistics, and/or automotive work experience required
Working Environment

This role will require working in a typical indoor office environment as well as hands-on field work. Regular visits to RMG facilities will be required, and the ability to use personal protective equipment and work in adverse conditions is necessary. Mobility within an office and on the ground is also required, as well as flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary.
