Nuclear Medicine Technologist

At Jamie Grayem, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances.
- Provide quality patient care, including timely throughput of patients and performance of exams.
- Operate and perform quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment.
- Perform PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanner, including injection of CT Contrast Media, image acquisition, and reformatting.
- Create and program study-specific protocols, including administration, imaging, and reformatting under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor and Medical Director.
Requirements:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to provide on-call/call-back service as needed.
- Minimum one year, full-time experience working as a CNMT.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current and active State of California CNMT License.
- Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year, full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
