SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Clinical Laboratory Technology Professor/Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses related to clinical laboratory technology and histology, as well as performing various administrative and academic duties.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Coordination: Coordinate clinical experiences for students, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.
- Didactic and Laboratory Instruction: Teach courses, laboratory, and clinicals in various modalities, as assigned.
- Student Advisement: Provide academic guidance and support to students.
- Participation in Accreditation and Assessment Activities: Contribute to the accreditation and assessment processes of the Clinical Laboratory Technology program.
- Committee Assignments: Participate in department and college committees as assigned.
- Master's Degree: A Master's degree in an appropriate field is required for the Assistant Professor position. A Bachelor's degree is required for the Instructor position, with a requirement to secure an approved Master's degree within four years.
- Teaching Experience: Three years of teaching experience or an appropriate combination of teaching, relevant work experience, and scholarly activity is required for the Assistant Professor position.
- Relevant Work Experience: Work experience in an area appropriate to the teaching field is strongly preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: ASCP certification or NYS State Licensure is required.
