Position Overview:
As a Food Service Associate, you will be responsible for a range of essential food service tasks under general supervision. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth operation within our healthcare facility.


Shift Information:
This position requires flexibility with variable shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and rotating weekends. Opportunities are available for part-time, full-time, and PRN positions, with PRN roles necessitating 2-3 shifts per week.


Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve food and supplies from the storeroom.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service area.
- Conduct accurate cash and credit transactions in line with corporate standards.
- Familiarize yourself with the menu, portion sizes, and pricing to effectively assist customers, including addressing inquiries and serving meals.
- Execute food preparation tasks, adhering to standard recipes and assembling necessary ingredients, such as salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruits.
- Ensure proper inventory management and product rotation.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor maintenance, and equipment upkeep (e.g., ovens, fryers, hoods).


Qualifications:
- A valid Food Handler's Permit as mandated by local regulations.
- Minimum of one year of experience in food service or cashier roles.
- Previous experience in a hospital food service setting is preferred.
- Ability to operate food service equipment and computers, requiring dexterity and hand movement.


Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see and read labels, monitors, and documents.
- Capability to carry, push/pull, and walk while transporting food, supplies, and service equipment.
- Must be able to climb, squat, kneel, and lift to clean equipment and access food and supplies.
- Tolerance for extreme temperatures, such as working at a grill or in a refrigerator, and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
