Job Title: Principal Engineer, Engineering Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team at Northrop Grumman. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability. You will assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.
  • Assist in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program.
  • Collaborate with other DevSecOps engineers and program development and deployment teams to achieve project goals.
  • Propose system administration process improvements to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • 5 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as an SME on large projects.
