Healthcare Support Professional

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams by gathering medical information, taking vital signs, and performing administrative tasks
- Document medical records accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within the first year of employment and maintained thereafter
- Clinic/physician office experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Valid Driver's License required, meeting Mercy's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
- Cardiovascular Medical Terminology class completion within 1 year of hire
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
