Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our members. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to address patients' immediate needs.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and techniques in mental health care, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
