Provide high-quality diagnostic and surgical services to patients at the Charleston Area Medical Center, adhering to the highest medical standards and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver care to CAMC patients in Surgical Critical Care Medicine, ensuring compliance with medical art and science, and adhering to fiduciary relationships.
- Collaborate with the Chief of the Division of Trauma Surgery, Chair of the Department of Surgery, and CAMC Vice President to address clinical practice issues.
- Provide Surgical Critical Care Medicine services at Charleston Area Medical Center.
- Participate in Surgical Critical Care Medicine on-Call rotations as per the employment agreement.
- Offer post-operative care for patients upon whom the physician has performed surgery.
- Maintain active status (category I) with regards to clinical privileges at CAMC.
- Develop strong relationships with patients, staff, corporate management, medical staff, and co-workers, demonstrating a team player mentality.
- Patient Group Knowledge: Demonstrate competency in obtaining and interpreting patient information, understanding growth and development, and providing appropriate treatment.
- Common Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain education records, demonstrate positive customer service, comply with attendance policies, participate in quality improvement activities, and perform work in a cost-effective manner.
Credentials and education requirements are essential for this position.
