Job Summary

Provide high-quality diagnostic and surgical services to patients at the Charleston Area Medical Center, adhering to the highest medical standards and ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care to CAMC patients in Surgical Critical Care Medicine, ensuring compliance with medical art and science, and adhering to fiduciary relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Chief of the Division of Trauma Surgery, Chair of the Department of Surgery, and CAMC Vice President to address clinical practice issues.
  • Provide Surgical Critical Care Medicine services at Charleston Area Medical Center.
  • Participate in Surgical Critical Care Medicine on-Call rotations as per the employment agreement.
  • Offer post-operative care for patients upon whom the physician has performed surgery.
  • Maintain active status (category I) with regards to clinical privileges at CAMC.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, staff, corporate management, medical staff, and co-workers, demonstrating a team player mentality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Patient Group Knowledge: Demonstrate competency in obtaining and interpreting patient information, understanding growth and development, and providing appropriate treatment.
  • Common Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain education records, demonstrate positive customer service, comply with attendance policies, participate in quality improvement activities, and perform work in a cost-effective manner.
