Join SpaceX's Satellite Payload Engineering Team

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space technology to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As a RF Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in developing the RF devices that power our satellites and ground antennas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Simulate and model terrestrial and orbital communication systems for Starlink
  • Work with system architects, RF engineers, antenna engineers, and other teams to define system architectures and specifications
  • Assess feasibility of various designs and derive top-level specifications for RF links and RF and antenna subsystems
  • Characterize and analyze system performance
  • Provide technical support to regulatory, coordination, and market access teams
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field
  • Experience in MATLAB, Python, C++, or other tools for modeling and analyzing RF systems
  • 1+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering with emphasis in RF/microwave circuits or communication theory
  • Experience performing analysis and simulation of communication systems
  • Thorough understanding of RF passive and active components
  • Experience characterizing radio performance at microwave frequencies
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines
