Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Specialist to join our team at MSI. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales growth and expand our customer base within an assigned geographic territory.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sales principles and practices, as well as experience working in a fast-paced sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow sales revenue and expand customer base within assigned territory
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales initiatives and promotions
  • Travel up to 75% of the time to visit customers and attend industry events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; two plus years' experience in channel distribution sales or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years of outside B2B sales experience; natural stone, slab, or hard flooring industries a plus
  • Strong math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills; good communication and people skills
  • Ability to determine solutions for customers; results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
