Position Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a prominent name in the fleet maintenance industry in the United States, is seeking to employ a proficient Trailer Maintenance Specialist . The Trailer Maintenance Specialist will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of Class 7 - 8 trailers, ensuring all operational components are functioning correctly through vehicle operation and testing.

Compensation: $30 - $36 per hour; based on experience. Competitive hourly wage - Paid weekly, every Friday.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities of the Trailer Maintenance Specialist:

Maintain vehicle records and documentation both manually and digitally. Conduct safety inspections of equipment and generate necessary safety documentation. Examine and perform maintenance on the undercarriage of vehicles. Access all areas of the equipment or vehicle to execute required maintenance tasks. Transport parts to and from the job site and manage the installation or removal of these components on vehicles. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, along with company policies and procedures. Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in vehicle and trailer maintenance. Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to assess functionality. Capability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind the cab using standard footholds and handholds. Must possess personal hand tools. Experience in performing DOT inspections. Basic computer proficiency. Fundamental written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
