Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing prescribed health care plans accurately.
  • Conducting regular rounds to ensure residents' comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Delivering safe and effective care services, including:
    • Assisting with bathing, feeding, and grooming.
    • Managing mobility and responding to resident calls.
  • Providing thorough cleaning and sanitation services, such as:
    • Cleaning and emptying urinals, commodes, and other equipment.
    • Maintaining a clean environment throughout the facility.
  • Documenting Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and other relevant information accurately and promptly.
  • Assisting residents with morning routines and dining needs.
  • Ensuring resident safety by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in residents' conditions and vital signs.
  • Encouraging participation in restorative activities and assisting with recreational programs.
  • Supporting team efforts by handling various tasks as needed.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of basic health care practices, including infection control.
  • Ability to instruct residents in health care measures.
  • Physical capability to perform essential job functions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with residents and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a nursing assistant or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles.
