Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of prior experience as a Physician Assistant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to establish a strong rapport with patients, exhibit a compassionate and caring attitude, and be well-versed in medical terminology. A current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required, along with up-to-date certification in the state of North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting patient interviews, examinations, and diagnoses of injuries and illnesses.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Prescribing medications and recommending lifestyle modifications.
- Performing procedures such as stitching wounds, setting bones, assisting in surgeries, and administering immunizations.
- Maintaining and reviewing patients' medical histories and documenting their progress.
- Providing necessary documentation for insurance purposes.
- Educating and counseling patients and their families.
- Staying informed about the latest treatments and trends in the medical field.
- Engaging in outreach initiatives, including house calls and visits to nursing facilities.
