Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrology Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Covenant Health Inc.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in our 17-bed telemetry unit, focusing on patients with acute or chronic renal failure, diabetes, and cardiac issues.
About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse on our nephrology unit, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
You will be responsible for assessing learning needs of patients and families, developing and initiating plans of care, and evaluating their effectiveness.
In addition, you will supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters, and follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.
- Assess learning needs of patient and family.
- Develop and initiate plan of care, involving patient and family.
- Recommends interventions.
- Evaluates plan of care.
- Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision.
- Demonstrates willingness to precept employees/students as directed.
- Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
- Finds and resolves moderately complex problems without direct supervision.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
- Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation.
- Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR required.
Salary Information:
Our estimated salary range for this position is $73,500 - $94,600 per year, based on industry standards and location.
