Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembly Specialist will collaborate with a dedicated team to assist in the assembly of a variety of projects, ranging from intricate industrial machinery to advanced digital printers, as well as training devices and simulators. LSINC transforms concepts into tangible products, so become a vital part of a team that plays a crucial role in the final output.

Compensation: $17-20/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute general assembly tasks following detailed work instructions or schematics in a controlled environment.
  • Review completed work and rectify any assembly discrepancies.
  • Interpret and comprehend blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly workspace.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols.
  • Utilize various hand tools effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in assembling mechanical and electrical components is essential.
  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to follow operational guidelines as specified.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics.
  • Capability to assemble basic electronic components.
  • Skill in using calipers.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Physical Demands:
  • Regular standing and walking, with the capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in using hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
  • Requires frequent pushing, pulling, standing, reaching, grasping, bending, and stooping.
Work Environment:
  • Potential exposure to dust, shavings, oil, grease, noise, vibration, dirt, heat, and fumes.
Additional Requirements:
  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
