Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outpatient Dialysis Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective dialysis treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, and other data to identify potential complications and take corrective action as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and changing regulations.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review and evaluation processes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nephrology nursing, with a focus on chronic hemodialysis.
  • Successful completion of Fresenius Medical Care North America's education and training requirements.
  • CPR BLS Certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
